*Race Skis have a May 31st Return Policy and must be returned by May 31st of every season. (Step 8a) Early Return discounts and Lease Extensions are available for summer training camps.*

These items are part of the package and can not be removed. You must select at least one of each Slalom and Giant Slalom and the desired lengths. Shorter skis are available listed below.

Size Chart Slalom: We recommend that you go no shorter than the skier's chin level and no longer than the bridge of the nose. Best to start every season just around the tip of the nose. Measure barefoot from the ground to the skier's tip of nose in inches or centimeters to find out what length skis should be used, then select the closest length of skis in the options above, more aggressive and experienced skiers can go a little longer.

Size Chart Giant Slalom: We recommend that you go no shorter than forehead height and no longer than 10cm over the skier's standing head height. Best to start every season with skis that measure just about 5cm above the skier's standing head height. Measure barefoot from the ground to the skier's standing head height and add a 5cm to find out what length skis should be used, then select the closest length of skis in the options above, more aggressive and experienced skiers can go a little longer.

This item is part of the package and can not be removed. You must select at least one model of ski boots and the desired size. Softer and stiffer ski boots are available.

Please select in the require fields above (Junior Ski Boots & Junior Boot Size) the preferred model and model/size of the ski boots.

*Ski Boots that are rented are available for exchange during the season. If needing to exchange the size, the skier must be present for fitment and the skis and boots for adjustment.*

Options are available with limited New or Used inventory.

Ski Boot Size Chart: Ski boots are NOT like street shoes, do NOT use your street shoe size to convert your ski boot size. Ski Boots use the Mondo Scale which is a conversion of the foot length in centimeters, for example 22.5 mondo size ski boot equals a foot length roughly a 22.5cm or between 22.1cm (loose) to 22.9cm (tight). Most high performing ski boots will have a narrow last (forefoot & ankle width) starting point. This will ensure maximum performance and tightness that will lead to better transferring of power in the turn, a must in ski racing. Some skiers will have to adjust for the tightness if they are not familiar with the fitment of performance ski boot, but in time, the skiers does begin to tolerate and appreciate the response from their boots. More aggressive and experienced skiers can usually tolerate down sizing the ski boot for the maximum fitment. All ski boot rentals will be evaluated at the time of pick up to ensure the best fitment for the individual skier.

Step Three: Choose your Ski Pole Sets...

*Racing Skis Poles have a May 31st Return Policy and must be returned by May 31st of every season. (Step 8a) Early Return discounts and Lease Extensions are available for summer training camps.*

This item is part of the package price but can be removed if you do not need poles and the price will adjust automatically from the original package price in the required fields above. Select the appropriate length combo for the skier. All Slalom poles come with punch cover for cross blocking, a requirement for U12 and up.

Please select the preferred option in the required field above (Junior Ski Poles & Ski Pole Length) if you need racing ski poles with your package or select NONE for both options.

Options are available with limited New or Used inventory.

Ski Pole Sizing Chart: Ski poles are traditionally sized to the skiers height with the elbow bent to a 90° and holding the ski pole upside down under the pole basket. Slalom, Giant Slalom, Speed and Freeride all have a specific ideal length to help the skier push out of the starting gate, cross block through course gates, and making powerful pole planting pushes and turns. Too short and the power is lost out of the gate or too much leaning forward to execute a clean pole plant. Too long can throws the skier off balance and too stood up and out of position. Slalom and Freeride poles can be sized similarly but for Giant Slalom and Speed events, a longer pole is preferred to maximize pushing. Measure from the ground barefoot to the height of the elbow and add 10cm to find out the ideal Slalom ski pole length which could be used for freeride as well and for Giant Slalom just go up one size or 5cm from what the skier is using as the Slalom pole.

JUNIOR GS & SL w/PUNCH COVER:

Included in Default Package Price*

NEW Price $120.00

USED Price $90.00

Length: 90cm, 95cm, 100cm, 105cm, 110cm, 115cm, 120cm

Please select both of the Ski Pole options or NONE on both options to complete Step 3a - Step 3b.

Need a Freeride Set of Poles?

*Freeride Ski Poles have a May 31st Return Policy and must be returned by May 31st of every season. (Step 8a) Early Return discounts are available.*

This item is not part of the package price but can be added for a small fee so skiers can have a easy short pole for free skiing without having to worry about a punch cover setup. Recommend to use the same size as a slalom or down 5cm. Select the appropriate length ski pole for the skier.

JUNIOR FREERIDE SKI POLE:

Not Included in Default Price: Optional Upgrade*

Price $20.00

Length: 90cm, 95cm, 100cm, 105cm, 110cm, 115cm, 120cm

Please select both of the Freeride Ski Pole options or NONE to complete Step 3c - Step 3d.

Step Four: Choose a Freeride Ski Set...

*Freeride Skis have a May 31st Return Policy and must be returned by May 31st of every season. (Step 8a) Early Return discounts are available.*

This item is not part of the package price and is not required. You can Add a Freeride Ski so that the skier has a fun off-piste ski set to play around on when they are not on a race course. Please select in the require fields above if you would like to add the skis to the package or choose NONE for both option if you don't need them.

Please select in the require fields above (Junior Freeride Skis & Junior Freeride Length) the preferred model and model/length of the ski sets.

*We do not accept exchanges in lengths for any freeride skis that are rented during the season. If you do need to exchange lengths, an additional fee will be collected at the time of the exchange.*

Options are available with limited New or Used inventory.

Size Chart Freeride: We recommend that you go no shorter than just above the chin and no longer than head height. Yes, the skier can ski on longer skis like the Giant Slalom and Super G skis, but freeride is meant to allow the skier to relax and have fun just cruising around the mountain, it is called FREESKIING. Best to get something around forehead head height. Freeride skis are usually softer flexing skis, so don't size it like a Slalom ski either, there is a good middle ground between eye height and forehead height for performance and playfulness. Measure barefoot from the ground to the skier's eyebrow height to find out what length skis should be used, then select the closest length of skis in the options above, more aggressive and experienced skiers can go a little longer.

Inches to Centimeter conversion (in x 2.54 = cm).

Step Six: Athlete Information

Skier Information required to set up equipment appropriately to the individuals personal settings.

Ski Club's Information is collected so we know what kind of terrain the skier will be expected to perform on, this will have an effect on what kind of structure and wax should be used. Wax can be changed if the skier is going to another mountain for a competition. Plus Foothills works with many of the Colorado Ski Team programs and can help skiers select the appropriate equipment based on the club they are participating on.

USSA ID Information is collected because Foothills Ski Life is a USSA complying Service Center helping skiers access discounted pricing on many other items such as Helmets and Goggles plus a whole selection of Armor and Protection such as Shin Guards, Forearm Guards, Back Guards, Chin Guards, Protective Ski Gloves, Full Side Zip Pants, Tuning Supply, and a whole bunch of other necessities that are not included in the rental program.

FIS Approved Helmets
Goggles
Race Suits
Armor and Protection
Shin Guards
Forearm Guards
Back Guards
Chin Guards
Protective Ski Gloves
Full Side Zip Pants
Tuning Supply

Ski Program is collected to help assist the skier and the families figure out what equipment is required to participate in the program they are signed up with. This will help figure out what category of skis, what level of ski boot, and what kind of ski poles will best to assist the skier to have a great season on the program. With the correct selection of ski equipment, this will allow progression to happen faster when the skiers have the appropriate skis, boots and poles for the category they are with. From Development Groups, High School Racing and Youth Ski League to Full Time Age Class Foothills Ski Life has you covered.

Skiers Full Name is collected so that equipment can be used to fill out any required paper work to track and label skis, boots, poles to help identify the skiers gear when it is in the service center and out on the slopes when so many skiers have similar looking skis at competitions.

Skiers Height and Weight is collected so that when skiers are getting their equipment set up that specific pieces of information can be used to identify binding indemnification settings to ensure that ski bindings are appropriately adjust set to the skiers individual specifications and so we can assist with selection the correct DIN Level.

Skiers Age is collected so we can correctly apply what age class competition the skier is competing in and is also a required field to make the binding indemnification settings.

Skier Type is collected so we can correctly select what binding indemnification settings we need to use to adjust the bindings specifically to the individuals personal settings and to understand the level of aggressiveness the skier is capable of skiing. Remember, Alpine racing, moguls and bumps and big mountain, black and double black diamond skiing is consider at minimum advanced skiing. There is a tendency to use higher settings in competition.

Skier Type 1 (Beginner)
Skier Type 2 (Intermediate)
Skier Type 3 (Advanced)
Skier Type 3+ (Expert)

Please select and fill out all required fields for the skiers information to complete Step 6a - Step 6h.

Step Seven: Select Pick-Up Timeframe

Our Season Rental Pick Up Timeframe is necessary for all programs so we can make sure to have all equipment set up in time for when the Ski Club starts every winter season. Some clubs and programs can start in Colorado as early as the 3rd week of October and some may not start until later November or early December. By providing this option will help us make sure to get the skiers equipment set up in a timely manner and ready to hit the slopes without having to scramble at the last minute. We recommend selecting the date about two to three weeks out prior of the starting date for the individual ski program.

Pick Up Dates are not used to reserve equipment. We have a limited amount of inventory and if you are trying to reserve a ski package, you can do that at any time during the summer or fall. We recommend to reserve inventory as soon as you can and not wait until we get too close to the beginning of the ski season which is October here in Colorado. By October we are already too late to order in more equipment if we run out and are at the mercy of the Vendor's Distribution Center and what they have left at the warehouse. If you need assistance in person, make an appointment for early August to early September for that ski package.

Please select within a good time frame when you would like to be able to pick up your equipment to complete Step 7a.

Step Eight: Select Return Date

Here in Colorado our racing season traditionally ends every year with the last race usually within the first few weeks of April with the Legendary Loveland Derby. At this point in the season, there are no more competitions on the calendar. We do however have many athletes and skiers that will continue their season with potential spring and summer training camps. Ideally, at this point, the skier really does not need to be using the same gear they have been on all season and should consider sizing up so that every day on the snow in the late spring and early summer, the skier can be using that time to adapt and adjust to longer skis that the skier will be using the following season of competition. Spring and Summer Rentals are available In-Store Only.

If the skier plans on not attending any spring or summer camps and your season ends in April, then select the Early Return Date of April 30th for a discounted price.

If the skier plans on attending spring camps here in Colorado and does not want to size up for the spring camps, then select the Standard Return Date of May 31st.

If the skier plans on attending a summer camp in June or July and equipment is needed all the way through the summer then select the Extension Return Date of August 15th for an additional price.

If the skier plans on attending spring and summer camps and would also like to exchange race skis, boots, and poles for the next size up, then select the Summer Swap Up Option and swap out the gear by April 30th that will have a Return Date of August 15th.

Please select one of the Return Dates to complete Step 8a.

These Return Dates are strictly enforced and if equipment is not returned within the proper time frame of those return dates, an additional $40 fee will be added for every single day the equipment is not returned to our Facility in Englewood Colorado. So please do not leave your equipment up at the mountain house or storage facilities. Foothills Ski Life performs storage tunes on all of our equipment to ensure proper storage so skis do not end up rusting away and drying out during the off season.

Step 9: Season Lease Legal Agreements

Seasonal Lease Terms & Conditions:

At Foothills Ski Life we want every athlete and customer to enjoy premium products that are properly maintained and in great shape. A tune makes all the difference in how the product will perform. Foothills Ski Life requires that every season lease that goes out for the season without a seasonal tuning program, is return every with 60-90 Days for a mandatory inspection and a minor tune up for the ski system free of charge. If major damages are present, additional fees will be collected to cover the service before the equipment can be picked up. We like to keep our gear in tip top shape and want to make sure that the equipment is properly maintained so that you can have a safe experience.

Whether you purchase a Basic Season Lease or a USSA Season Lease, we would appreciate that every customer participate and be proactive about maintaining their equipment. Any kind of neglectful or mistreatment of the equipment will be issued a service fee of $50.00 and can escalate to a complete compensation for damaged or totaled skis, boots or poles. So if you end up not bring the skis in for the mandatory inspection and tune, you will be charged for the tune up automatically from the credit card information that is collected at the time of pick up and this fee is not negotiable. Damages include broken or bent skis, poles and boots, excessive scratches and gouging on the top sheets of skis and ski poles, rentals are not your personal property, please respect our equipment.

All Season Leases are required to leave Drivers License Number and Credit Card information with all paper work and documentation. USSA Season Leases start as early as October 1st and are required to be returned by May 31st of every season. Race season is over and Foothills needs to collect all race skis back by May so that we can provide other customers with Spring and Summer Lease options. There are options for extending your season lease through the summer (Return Date August 15th) for a minimal fee. And we have a Swap Up Exchange option available for longer skis, boots and poles for skiers looking to get out on next years length of skis for spring and summer training which would occur by April 31st and required to be returned by August 15th also for an additional fee. Please select the options correctly for Step 8: Return Date.

If equipment goes missing, is broken, or neglectful treatment is suspected, we do have a policy that you pay for the product to be replaced or serviced and prices will vary depending on individual circumstances.

When you are done for the season, we do request that you bring back the equipment immediately instead of leaving it in your house and garage or up at the mountain condo. Foothills has a spring and summer lease option that equipment will be needed for and if product is not used for those leases, we like to perform storage tunes on all the equipment so the gear is properly stored during the off season.

All season leases can access discounted tune ups during the season, so if you like to keep your skis tuned up and would like to bring them in more frequently to receive service, you will receive a 10% discount off our standard pricing. Or you can sign up for our Seasonal Tuning Programs with monthly, biweekly or weekly services. You can check out the Service Menu at our website’s service page.

Please check mark the box after your have read the Terms & Conditions for the Lease Program above for Step 9a.
